What Is Nanotechnology?
Nanotechnology is the branch of science, engineering, and technology. In this field we study elements at micro-level usually ranges from about 1 to 100 nanometers.
In Nanotechnology or nanoscience, we not only just study extremely small objects but also implement them in real life. It has a great impact on real life. Nanoscience is being used in many fields of science like Biology, Chemistry, chemical engineering, and material science
History Of Nanotechnology Or NanoScience
Nanotechnology is not a new field it is now just identified our ancestors were using NanoScience from centuries. In the past, people use gold and silver particles to design a beautiful art piece they just don’t know that they were playing with Nano-particles but now we know that it involves NanoScience. Now we have a special field of NanoScience and it is working for many aspects of life and trying to make our life better.
Fundamental Concepts Of NanoTechnology Or NanoScience
It is very difficult to explain how small nanotechnology is. In fact, it is beyond the limit of our thinking but you can imagine an idea about it from the following examples:
- One Nanometer is 1/1,000,000,000 of one meter.
- There are 25,400,000 nanometers in one inch
- A sheet of paper is about 100,000 nanometers thick
- On a comparative scale, It is assumed that if a marble were a nanometer, then one meter would be the size of the whole Earth
Advancement In The Field Of Nanotechnology Or NanoScience
With the advancements in science & technology, the world is now changed into a global village. likewise, the same process goes with NanoScience now scientists have better instruments for their research.
We know that everything is composed of atoms. Atoms are extremely small particles that we can’t see with our naked eye. In fact, we can’t even see them with a simple microscope that is mostly used in high schools. Now scientists have a wide range of instruments to study nano-particles. These instruments are very expensive that’s why they are only used by scientists.
